The countdown is on to the season of festive fun and events and there is so much going on across the borough, you won’t want to miss it!

There’s not just one or two but a total of nine community-led Christmas events taking place with one for each town to host their own unique Christmas celebration event and show their pride in their local area.

The most spectacular event of all is the borough’s annual Winter Parade which is taking place in Stalybrige this year on Saturday 15 November to kick off the start of the celebrations across Tameside

Tameside Northern Lights Winter Parade

Stalybridge - Saturday 15 November

The parade time: 5pm-6pm

Stalybridge Street Fest: 4pm-8pm

Artisan markets will be in the Civic hall from 11am

Everyone is invited to join in and be part of the WinterParade, which brings joy, excitement and a guaranteed electric atmosphere every year. There will be a fantastic and magical parade of puppets, bands, dancers, and a fun-packed stage of performers leading up to Father Christmas switching on the town’s lights live on the night.

Free parking is available from 4pm at Rassbottom Street Car Park.

Get involved in the fun!

There are plenty of ways to join the excitement! Whether it’s crafting a lantern, performing on stage, or simply enjoying the event as a spectator, there’s something for everyone.
