Tameside Local Studies and Archives are currently recruiting to fill the roles of Archivist, Senior Library Assistant and Library Assistant!
The Archivist Role will be responsible for managing the borough’s archive collection, including materials associated with the Manchester Regiment. They will also be responsible for seeking grant funding and developing the promotion and delivery of archive and local studies public offer, as well as dealing with internal and external enquiries and facilitating access to the archives. The Senior Library Assistant will be responsible for the provision of front line library services including counter duties, managing and maintaining the in-house shop, dealing with enquiries and assisting members of the public in using resources. They may also be required to assist in the provision of books and archives, as well as the online and surrogate resources in the search-room. The Library Assistant will be responsible for front line library services, including counter duties, the maintenance of stock, resolving public enquiries and supporting visitors wishing to access library resources.
