Discover the world of bats alone the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in Stalybridge. Starting before dusk for a leisurely stroll to observe your local bat population, guided by the South Lancashire Bat Group your resident bat experts.
We will be meeting outside the Victoria Market Hall (previously the Civic Hall) and return there at the end of the walk.
You will be introduce to different bat species that inhabit the British isles and explain their behaviour, habitats and how you can support them. The bat detectors will be shared out so you can learn to identify the bats as they click and blow raspberry across the air waves.
Numbers limited due to the canal side location please book a ticket.
There is a small fee to cover the bat detectors.
Bats are not just for Halloween they are all year round.
