BridgeFest – 5th September ’26: a free, one-day music and cultural experience across Stalybridge
Saturday September 5th sees Stalybridge Town Team’s fifth ‘Bridge Fest' music, cutlure and entertainment festival. It’s an incredible one-day, community-based event that is the biggest of its kind in Tameside and is run entirely by Town Team volunteers.
There will be 30+ acts performing across12 venues throughout the day, starting at 12 noon and going on until 10pm. Venues include:
· The Stalybridge Civic Hall
· Pubs such as the White House, the Wharf, the Old Fleece, & the Bohemian Lounge
· Warm and welcoming cafes like Florence and Amelia’s
· Lively bars such as Guest and Tipsy’s
· Outdoor spaces like Armentieres Square
· HolyTrinity Church.
BridgeFest showcases local musical and artistic talent whilst simultaneously generating revenue for town centre businesses. Venues host multiple sets throughout the day, so you can either stay in one place and acts come to you; or you can venue hop about the town seeing a host of different performances. The music will span pop and indie bands, brass bands, folk, jazz, and poets, with everyone from local choirs, groups, solo artists, duos, and talented youngsters performing.
Earlier in the year the Town Team organised an audition event to find new Tameside talent, opening the door for exciting, and in some cases unseen, artists who will feature on the day. This year also brings the chance for children to get involved in vreative workshops on the day in the Stalybridge Civic Hall.
And the best bit about it alll is that it's all free! Just bring your enthusiasm, support for your community and a love of music and culture.
Don’t miss out, come and experience Bridge Fest foryourself!
