Join us as Michael Herbert discusses his latest book, delving into the remarkable life and legacy of Madeline Linford. As the creator of the women’s page at the Manchester Guardian and possibly the first woman to serve as pictures editor of a national newspaper in the UK, Madeline Linford broke barriers and paved the way for women in journalism.

After the talk there will be tea, coffee, and biscuits and the opportunity to talk to the speaker.

To book your place on the talk email archives@tameside.gov.uk or phone 0161 342 4242.
