To celebrate the Baton of Hope Tour coming to Tameside, Portland Basin Museum is hosting a FREE art drop-in with artist Anna Connor. Anna specialises in how art can support mental health and wellbeing. Using nature as inspiration, this workshop will show how the mindful process of drawing and painting can help us slow down and switch off from stress and worries. Come along and have a go, even if you think you can't draw or paint. You may well discover a favourite new relaxing hobby.

This drop-in is aimed at adults, though all ages are welcome.

The Baton of Hope Tour aims to raise awareness of suicide prevention and spread the message of hope. The tour is the UK's largest ever suicide prevention initiative and has been brought to Tameside by the Anthony Seddon Fund. Find out more about the Baton of Hope tour here.
