Mottram Summer Show returns on Sunday 16th August 2026 at Mottram Showground for a full day of countryside competition, rural traditions and family entertainment.
Established in 1904, this long-running agricultural show celebrates the best of rural life with livestock showing, equestrian competition, agricultural and educational demonstrations and arts, handicrafts and cookery competitions, making it a great summer day out for all ages.
The show features cattle and sheep classes, a full programme of horse show classes and the popular Family Fun Dog Show.
Visitors can enjoy sheep shearing and baling demonstrations, vintage tractors, engines and military vehicles, horticulture displays, craft, trade and charity stalls, birds of prey displays, fairground rides, plus a food court, licensed bar and live music throughout the day. More attractions and demonstrations will be announced ahead of the event.
New for 2026, a dedicated Calm Zone, created in partnership with Tameside Neurodiversity Hub, will provide a quiet space for visitors who may need a break from the busy showground.
With a welcoming atmosphere, the show celebrates agriculture, rural skills, local produce and community spirit. Free on-site parking, including disabled parking and the showground is easily accessed from Junction 4 of the M67.
