🔬 SciTech Take Over
When: Sunday, 16 February | Time: 11am – 3pm | Where: Portland Basin Museum, Ashton-Under-Lyne

Kick-start the half-term with a bang at the SciTech TakeOver! The industrial gallery at Portland Basin Museum will betransformed into an interactive science hub, filled with hands-on micro experiments designed to spark curiosity in young minds. With multiple experiment stations, kids can explore, learn, and have a blast—all for free!
🎨 Make, Do & Play Art Activity
When: Tuesday, 18 February & Thursday 20 | Time:11am – 3pm | Where: Portland Basin Museum, Ashton-under-Lyne
Entry Fee: £1.35 per child (tickets available at the museum reception)
Unleash your child's inner artist with the Make, Do & Play Art Activity. Led by artist Helen Dodsworth, this creative workshop is inspired by mini football banners recently donated to the museum. Children can design and craft their own banners, showcasing their favourite hobbies or interests. It's a wonderful way for kids to express themselves and take home a unique keepsake.
🧙 Cloak of Spells Craft Activity
When: Monday, 17 February | Time: 10am - 3:30pm| Where: Ashton Library, Tameside One, Ashton-under-Lyne

Add a sprinkle of magic to your half-term with the Cloak of Spells Craft Activity. Local artists Aimee and Tom will guide children in creating special patches for the 'Cloak of Spells,' celebrating the magical people in their lives. Each patch comes with a spell, sending a little bit of enchantment to someone special. This collaborative project will feature in a performance later in the year, so your child's creation could be part of something truly magical!
🎭 Hyde Art Day with The Rutherford Rabble
